GEM HT SQUID survey for Wyloo in Kambalda

Wyloo put this shout out to GEM on their Linked page in June 2024:

GEM Geophysics joined us on site in Kambalda last month in our search for massive nickel sulphides! 🔍

The team undertook surface electromagnetic surveys which send a magnetic signal generated from a transmitter down into the earth. When it hits a layer of rock or minerals that conduct electricity, such as nickel sulphides, the signal is reflected back to the surface where it is measured using a receiver.

The receiver used for this survey is the latest cryogenic cooled SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device), which provides an ultra-sensitive measuring system to provide superior depth of investigation.

This is an important part of our ongoing exploration work and future plans for the Kambalda region.

GEM are proud to be part of the Wyloo exploration journey in their ongoing hunt for Nickel.

GEM are The Explorer’s Choice.
